OUR LEADERSHIP

Our organisation is led by its diverse and expert board of directors, executive committee and advisory council. The board of directors provides strategic direction and oversight. The advisory council provides strategic advice on matters concerning the chamber and the management committee is responsible for everyday operations of the organisation.

MOHAMMAD HOTAK

Founder & Chairman

Dr Hotak is a medical doctor turned serial social entrepreneur and change maker, who is driven by his passion to find solutions for the many challenges our society faces. He is a strong tri-sector leader with extensive experience in the public, private and non-governmental sectors. As a serial entrepreneur, he has founded, sits on the board of and has led Hotak Healthcare, Invest In Great Britain, UK Asia Trade & Investment Council and Britannia Trade Corporation. Dr Hotak is a national and internationally renowned speaker in the media, think-tanks, academia, conferences and seminars on innovation, entrepreneurship, international trade, foreign direct investment and leadership. He holds an MBChB in Medicine from Leeds Medical School and certifications in International Organisation Management, Smart Business Growth and Leadership. As the founder and chairman of ASSOCIATION OF ASIAN CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE & INVESTMENT (AACCI), Dr Hotak is responsible for the organisation’s strategy, overseas its management and builds its partnerships with stakeholders from the public, private and non-governmental sectors.

PRIYANKA AGARWAL

Director

Ms Agarwal comes from a strong background in management buyouts, private equity and debt transactions. Coming from a strong background in finance, she leads our investment committees. Previously, she has worked for Invest In Great Britain, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs in its mergers and acquisitions department for over 15 years. Ms Agarwal holds a BSc in Finance from London School of Economics and Political Science, and an MBA from Stanford University.

MICHAEL LI

Director

Michael is a serial entrepreneur and expert in FinTech, Blockchain and start-up incubation with extensive experience of working across the ASEAN region. Previously, he has worked for International Digital Chamber of Commerce as a director for digital trade and led the entrepreneurship and innovation committees. Mr Li holds a BSc and MSc in Software Engineering.

HASSAN KHAN

Director

Mr. Khan is a talented and passionate business leader with over 15 years of experience in South and Central Asian trade and commerce. He has extensive experience in imports and exports between Asian nations and countries in Europe. Mr Khan has been the visionary, business development and marketing mind behind the success of Shadizai & Brothers group of companies.  He is fluent in multiple Asian languages and has deep understanding of Asian business affairs. Mr Nasir holds Bachelor of Business of Administration.

Aziz Omarov

Director

Mr Omarov is a senior international trade expert with over two decades of global experience shaping trade policy, cross-border strategies, and economic development. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr Omarov has held pivotal roles at leading global institutions, including the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the World Bank. His work has focused on navigating complex global trade dynamics, fostering economic growth and bridging policy with commercial implementation. Mr Omarov holds a Bachelor and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Manchester. Combining rigorous academic training with hands-on institutional expertise, he is a trusted advisor on international market expansion and global economic strategy.
